Birthday

Ally wanted to blow out the candles so I quickly made up a cake (it was a mix).  She blew out the candles really well, she started blowing them out as soon as she saw the cake.  Here she is opening up a present from Auntie Billie, Uncle Ryan and Natasha.

Ally's big present was a new bed.  We got her a trundle bed so she can have sleep overs some day

Birthday Morning

Today is Ally's second birthday, we started the morning by sleeping in and singing, "Happy Birthday"  Here are some pictures of the girls playing in bed.

Family Conference

Every March we attend the AACL Family Conference, we volunteer and go to the many interesting sessions for families with children with disabilities.  The event we look forward to the most is the dance.  We have been waiting excitedly because we knew Ally would have a blast.  This year we had the pleasure of having many of our extended family join us.  We had my cousin Paige come and help with the girls - she was a godsend!  I couldn't have survived the weekend with out her.  Then we had my Aunt Ruth and Uncle Mike from Yellowknife, my cousin Christa and my cousin Chad and his wife who I haven't seen since their wedding 10 years ago.

My birthday present

I just recieved these awesome snow/rain/wind pants from Pat, Alicia, Jan and Dave.  I am so excited to use them.  The girls and I will have a blast puddle jumping and playing in the snow.  Ally decided to try them on.

Learning to be tidy

Mike has been teaching Ally to hang her coat up after she is done.  She does a good job of it for the most part...now we just need to get Mike and I doing it too.

Zoe's Stories

Zoe is quite a talker here is a video of her blabbing away.

She can still fit....

....in a laundry basket!

Twinkle Twinkle

Here is a video of Ally singing Twinkle Twinkle.  She is actually much better than the video shows but with all the pictures I have been taking, she has stopped performing for the camera.

Sleeping

I love waking Ally up and cuddlying her toasty warm body.  Here she is tucked into the corner of her crib.

Curious

Ally is very curious and loves to get into things especially things that I don't want her to ;)  Since potty training she has been enjoying all the new things that she can discover in the bathroom.

First Professional Haircut

Ally's bangs were getting long and I did a horrible job last time so we went to Beaners and got her haircut.

Big Sister

Ally is just so in love with Zoe.  She loves to kiss, hug and even play with her.  I try to protect Zoe but soon they will be able to play.  In a year more or less they will be able to play and with each passing month they will be able to do more together.  I can't wait!

March - A month of Ally

Ally turns 2 in 22 days!!  Crazy!  I decided and coerced Mike into taking a picture of Ally every day of her last days as a 1 year old.

Today we started potty training and Ally did amazingly well.  I was petrified but we decided it was time and dove in head first.

Here is a pic of our girl just before bed (because we almost forgot) unfortunately with a soother in her mouth.  She has decided that she likes soothers now even though she hated them when she was younger.

And Ally also got her first black eye this week.  We don't really know what happened except that we didn't do it ;)  She was playing her ball tent and pushing it around the room while inside and we think she ran into her dresser.

3 Months Old

Zoe is growing up!  Our girl has had an eventful month. She has started talking and loves to have nightly conversations with Mommy.  And last night she actually laughed!

Zoe was also babysat for the first time.  She gave her Aunt and Uncle a hard time but in the end was just fine and happy to see Mommy.

And for some exciting news, we have graduated from the Breastfeeding Clinic!!  Zoe is now 11 lbs and growing well so there is no need to be undressed and put on a cold scale.

Dancing Queen

Ally loves music and dancing.  Her favorite songs are Mamma mia and Feist's 1 2 3 4.  She sings,"Mamma mia go again.."  and " 1 2 3 4, tell me what your looking for.."

Here is a video of Ally playing rockband with her Dad and dancing along.

Musical Prodigy?

Ally has discovered the piano and loves to plunk away on it.  She has even started to play and sing songs at the same time.  Here is a video of her playing.
