Mourning

We lost our wonderful dog Sisko on the afternoon of boxing day. This was a huge blow to us because Sisko appeared healthy and showed no indication of passing. We are missing Sisko very much, he was a very important part of our lives, especially Mike's. He was so intwined in our every day life that not a moment has gone by that we don't expect to hear his footsteps. It is strange to be feeding Alexandra and not have Sisko right there ready to clean up any dropped food or to not have him jump up on the bed to warm our feet.

Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas. The weather was nice, not much snow but decent driving conditions. We are very lucky and get to have 3 days of opening gifts. We start out on Christmas eve morning at our house and open the presents to eachother and then we go to our families. We spent Christmas Eve and Christmas day with my parents and then Christmas evening and boxing day with Mike's family. Alexandra was spoiled but she loved all her presents and really enjoyed all the attention that was given to her by her grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousin.

This is a picture of Mike and Alexandra on Christmas eve morning, just before opening presents.
