Ally has started to play lacrosse.

Why you may ask? Because it was the only sport at the time that took 4 yr olds. I really want Ally to try a lot of things before she settles on one activity. So it is lacrosse this year. She is enjoying it and is rather good at it.

Every year we are fortunate enough to have my cousin Paige join us to help with the kids. Sleeping in a hotel room with kids is tough and ha ing someone with energy to keep the girls entertained is wonderful. Paige took the girls swimming, mini golfing, to the aquarium and to the seal show.

This is what Zoe *demanded* to wear to bed tonight. Let me tell you about Zoe, and specifically the two-year old Zoe. Zoe jumps in to everything with two feet, she is committed and only does things if she thinks she is doing it right. Like walking, she didn't walk until 18 months much later than Ally but crawled earlier. Zoe is stubborn and combine that with her intense need to assert her independence all on the sweetest little cherub.

We are not actively training Zoe but there are days that she decides to pee on the potty. She commits to it and a concerted effort. The other day she decided to sit on the toilet and play her 'Bunky Game' aka Monkey Game. She is seriously addicted to that game. Gotta like how comfy she made herself!

I have been wanting to pierce Ally's ears since she was a baby but Mike disagreed. Ally started asking to wear earrings in January and after much insistence we decided that we would pierce them for her birthday.

Ally did so well! Dhe didn't cry and cleaning them has been a breeze. I actually teared up.

The girls received a beautiful fancy tea party set for Christmas. We finally pulled it out the other day. We got dressed up in fancy dresses and even put on makeup. It was really fun and we will be doing it again.

Burn

You can barely see the burn but it is quite bad. It unfortunately happened one Sunday morning whilst breakfast was being made and there were 3 adults in the kitchen. The hilarious thing is when you ask Zoe what happened, she will tell you that the doctor did it. I don't know where she got that but it cracks me up.

Last night we went Trick or Treating and had a blast! The weather was perfect so we decided to walk Grandma's house and hit houses on the way. Georgia slept through it all and was so upset to come home as you can tell from the picture. Ally and Zoe loved getting all the candy. Ally was an Elephant again and Zoe was a lion, pictures to come.

Mike is building is photography portfolio and is starting to do some actual paid shoots. Ally has turned into a little model and is also a great director when she is taking pictures too. Mike has given Ally his old camera and she is becoming a very good photographer too!

I do this, or at least I try to take a picture of the girls before each birthday. This year I have recruited Mike so it actually might happen that we will get 30 pictures of Zoe.

Zoe is blossoming more and more each day. Her personality is coming out so much these days. She is stubborn, loving and a jokster. She loves her sisters and enjoys copying Ally's every move.

Georgia's first week has been pretty busy. She got to stay in her first hotel, visit Grandma Jan's, be at two holiday meals and battle with a blocked tear duct. She is a night owl which is fairly normal but she takes it to extremes and likes to be awake from 1 am until 5am or later.

Our third daughter made her arrival quickly Monday morning October 4. She was born at 1:24am and weighed 7lbs 8oz. She was born at the Arbour Birth Center. Ally got to be there and see her birth. Also in attendance was Grandma Lori, Aunty Alicia, Rachelle and of course my hero who has gotten labour support done to an art Mike.

Boulet Reunion

Over the August long weekend we drove up to Northern Alberta, to a small town called Guy which is close to Peace River. It was the longest drive that we have taken with the girls and it went amazingly well. I was so impressed! We had a great time meeting cousins from all over, learning a bit of French and camping. The family reunion was for my side of the family, my Great Grandmother Rose was the eldest of 9 sibling and most had very large French Catholic Families, one family had 12 kids! It was a well organized and fun event!

This summer we got a chance to see and take pictures of a funnel cloud. It was really cool! I felt like we were storm chasers, it did get a bit scary when the hail came. It sounded like it could break a window. We did find out later on that we were pretty stupid and that if the tornado had actually formed it would have been really dangerous, something like an f5! So I think next time we will just go home.

This summer we have really enjoyed all the parks in Didsbury. Our favorite is at the elementary school. Ally and Zoe are quite adventurous and try to go on all the equipment, even if it gives me a heart attack.

First Camping Trip

For the Canada Day long weekend we took our first camping trip. We went to Canmore and shared Mom and Dad's new tent trailer. I was quite nervous because I didn't think anyone in near vacinity would be able to sleep over the screams of my kids. But I was proven wrong and they slept wonderfully! Our site was right be they playground and that was a life saver for us. Ally and Zoe played at the park every chance they got.

Zoe picked up a Strawberry Shortcake doll at a garage sale. The doll is the same size that Zoe is and Zoe loves the doll and won't put her down. It is really cute watching her carry it around.

Our friends Dan and Deyelle invited us to their daughter's baptism in June. June had horrible weather during the week but we would be blessed with great weather on the weekend for the most part. Here are some pictures of the girls soaking up the sun in their pretty dresses.

We went to the Red Deer Children's Festival to see Fred Penner. We also met up with my friend Tracy and her son Croston and husband Elton. We had a blast and loved how un-crowded the festival was. We actually could let the kids run around a bit. Fred Penner still has it, too. He kept everyone entertained the whole time.

30th Anniversary

Mom and Dad had their 30th anniversary on May 17th. Danielle, Nicole and I wanted to honor them by throwing them a party. We had about 50 people come for the party. It was wonderful to have everyone their and we really appreciated the amount of driving people had to do to get there.

Danielle and I worked hard and actually both of us took turns being quite sick. Danielle actually ended up in the hospital the night before the party. It worked well because she was feeling well when I wasn't and got all the preparation done and I was feeling well for the party and did all the work that day.

Zoe has decided to start experimenting with walking. She can walk across the living room but if she needs to go somewhere in a hurry she still prefers crawling. She still will only walk on her terms. The helmet in the above pictures is not for safety but I think more of a fashion choice. Zoe loves hats and she wore this helmet for an entire afternoon.

Ally and Zoe love playing on the deck. They don't care if it is warm or cold out there. Their favorite game is to stand on either side of the door and knock on the window and giggle. I love how well they play together, it gives me hope for when #3 comes along.

Ally recieved a tiara making kit for her birthday from Ryan, Billie and Natasha. She loves it and really enjoyed making her tiara. She is still in love with doing crafts and she demands to do something every day.

I unfortunately forgot my camera every time we went out and I am ashamed to say that I only have one picture of Natasha with her cousins. A couple weeks ago, it actually felt like spring, so I decided to go and get Ally a run bike. She did really well on her tricycle last year and this year I wanted to get her started on a big girl bike. I love the concept of the run bike so Grandma, Grandpa, me and the girls packed up and went out to Linden, where there is an awesome bike shop.

Ally loves her bike and is getting the hang of it. I think she will be an expert by the end of the summer if not sooner.

Ally had a joint party with her cousin Kaya this year. We rented a play space in Calgary and it was a blast! Here are the pictures of the cake that my friend Deyelle and I decorated. I think this is the best cake I (we) have done.

Ally had a blast at the dance. Once the music started, which was the pre-dinner elevator type music she had to start dancing. Near the end of the night when she was tired she perfected a sitting dance style. She wouldn't even dance with me because she was afraid I would make her go to bed.
